Income Tax

PAN Registration

A PAN card is a unique identification mark allotted by the IT department to all taxpayers in India. A PAN card displays the PAN number, a ten-digit alphanumeric code that helps the authorities keep a record of the financial activities of an individual across all platforms.

Accounting

Keeping books up to date in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles allows you to assess your own performance as well as make peer-to-peer comparisons. This is a crucial part of establishing and maintaining reputation with competitors and vendors.
Your financial position determines how much credit you are eligible for, at what interest rates, and so on. Investors will have a clear understanding of the risk and opportunity that your company may present. When it comes time to pay your taxes, file your returns, and claim deductions, keeping track of your accounts will come in handy.

Advance Tax

Advance Tax is an income Tax that has to be paid in advance instead of lump sum payment at year end. It is also known as pay tax as you earn. These payments must be made in installments according to the Advance Tax due dates.

All taxpayers, salaried, freelancers, and enterprises, are subject to advance tax. Senior persons aged 60 and up who do not own or operate a business are free from paying advance tax. Assesses must pay advance tax if the total tax liability in a financial year is Rs 10,000 or higher.

Taxpayers who have chosen the presumptive taxation plan under section 44AD & 44ADA must pay their advance tax in full by March 15th. They can also pay all of their tax obligations by March 31.

Return

The Income Tax Department receives information about your earnings and taxes via an Income Tax Return (ITR) form. A taxpayer’s tax liability is computed using his or her income. If the return reveals that the individual paid excess tax during the year, the individual will be eligible for an income tax refund from the ITD.

CIT Appeals

CIT (A) is the first Appellate Authority under the Income Tax Act, 1961 to whom the Assessee can approach if he is aggrieved by the Order of the Assessing Officer. The CIT(A) shall dispose the appeal so filed by exercising his powers. The Commissioner of Income-tax (Appeals) can condone the delay in filing the appeal if genuine reason exists for delay.

Assessment & Scrutiny

Assessing Officer conduct inquiries as deemed necessary from the assessee. The idea is to monitor the income declared and other deductions as mentioned by the employee during the income tax return process.

Survey

Surveys are used to verify statements and claims made by existing tax payers and to detect new tax payers, for a proper assessment of the tax liability of a taxpayer.
